Platt & Brother, manufacturers of woolen goods at Manayunk, died yesterday morning at his home, Suinac street and Jeanette avenue, Wissahickon. Mr. Platt got on a train at Shurs Lane Station on Saturday, intending to go to Atlantic City, but was taken suddenly ill at Wissahickon. He was removed to his home in a carriage, and died from Neuralgia of the heart the next day. Mr. Platt was a native of England, and came to this country to settle at Chester in 1856. Ten years late he started in the manufacturing business with his brother at Manayunk, and continued in the same firm to the time of his death. He was one of the leading Members of the Wissahickon Methodist Church and contributed largely to the building fund.
