Rapp of Philadelphia, PA. ======================================================================= RAPP – Jan. 17, REUBEN B.., husband of Helen Bartine Rapp, aged 79 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral, Fri., 2 P. M., from his late residence, 8119 Elberon av., Fox Chase, Phila. Interment William Penn Cemetery. --------------------- Elizabeth Rapp Elizabeth Rapp died at her home, 1622 North Thirteenth street, Philadelphia, on Tuesday, aged 85 years. Mrs. Rapp was the daughter of John Pyle and wife of Jesse Rapp, Pheonixville, Chester county. In the early 40’s John Pyle, Mr. and Mrs. Rapp and several members of the Pyle family moved to Mt. Carroll county, Illinois, where Mr. Rapp went into business. Mr. and Mrs. Rapp were among the first founders of Greeley, Colorado. In 1876 they returned East, coming to Philadelphia, where they continued to live, Mr. Rapp being engaged in the furniture and carpet business at the time of his death several years ago. Mrs. Rapp’s ancestors were among the earliest settlers of Delaware county and she was a member of the old-time Pyle family located around Thornton, Delaware county. She leaves a large number of children and grandchildren. The interment will be at the East Vincent Reformed Church Cemetery.
