Interment on Sunday at Hopewell Cemetery, Chester County. Daily Local News, May 10, 1892 Religious Intelligence. It has been a long time since as large a gathering of people has been seen at Hopewell as assembled there on last Sunday to attend the funeral of Miss Ella Rea, a young lady who died in Philadelphia and was brought to Downingtown on the Sunday morning train on the Pennsylvania Railroad. She was the daughter of William and Mary Jane Rea, who a number of years ago were married in Brandywine Township and removed to the city. She was the second of three daughters and one son. She frequently visited her many friends and relatives in the neighborhood of Hopewell, where her mother was born and raised, she being the daughter of Isaac R. Powell, deceased. Her natural disposition was to be lively and pleasant, and had made a host of friends who greatly mourn her loss so early in life, she being the picture of health until a few weeks ago. The high esteem in which she was held was attested by the largest display of elegant flowers that has ever been witnessed at the church on a similar occasion. The pastor, Mr. McKinley, preached an appropriate Sermon. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
