                               John F Shank
The funeral of John F. Shank, of Philadelphia, took place from the 
Pennsylvania station yesterday on the arrival of the train from Philadelphia, 
with internment at the Harrisburg cemetery. Mr. Shank was a native of 
Harrisburg, but left here some years ago and located in Philadelphia, where he 
was a clerk in the Recorder’s Office at the time of his death. He died on 
Sunday at his residence, No. 849 North Forty-fifth street and funeral services 
were held at his late home Monday, participated in by members of Washington 
Camp. 546, P. O. S. of A. When a mere boy Mr. Shank enlisted in the Union army 
and was a drummer boy in Company K, 210 Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers. 
Several brothers, residents of Harrisburg, survive him.
