Shank, of Philadelphia, took place from the Pennsylvania station yesterday on the arrival of the train from Philadelphia, with internment at the Harrisburg cemetery. Mr. Shank was a native of Harrisburg, but left here some years ago and located in Philadelphia, where he was a clerk in the Recorder’s Office at the time of his death. He died on Sunday at his residence, No. 849 North Forty-fifth street and funeral services were held at his late home Monday, participated in by members of Washington Camp. 546, P. O. S. of A. When a mere boy Mr. Shank enlisted in the Union army and was a drummer boy in Company K, 210 Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers. Several brothers, residents of Harrisburg, survive him.
