Agnes Cecilia, in private life, Mary Sheridan, passed away last night at Villa Maria Convent, in the 52nd year of her age. She had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, and had been ill only a few days. She was a teacher by profession. She was born in Coatesville, and was a daughter of Michael F. and Elizabeth H. Dalton Sheridan. Additional Comments: Coatesville Record, December 29, 1942 Sister M.(ary) Agnes Cecilia celebrated her silver jubilee as a sister servant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Sunday, Dec., 27, 1942 at the Convent of St. Veronica, Philadelphia. Sister Agnes Cecilia is a native of Coatesville, a daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth D. Sheridan. Mass was offered in the convent chapel with Father John Damascene, O.F.M., as celebrant. Following the Mass, dinner was served by sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Relatives attending the celebration were: Mr. and Mrs. Christy Ballentine, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. White, Miss Elizabeth Sheridan, Miss Helen Sheridan, all of Coatesville, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sheridan and daughter Germaine, of Baltimore, Md.
