   SHIELDS.-On the 18th instant, Mr. JACOB SHIELDS, in 
the 43d year of his age.
   The relatives and friends, members of the Washington 
and Lafayette Beneficial Society and Oak Copers of 
Philadelpha, are respectfully invited to attend his 
funeral, from his late residence, back of No. 346 South 
Fifth street, above Carpenter, this (Thursday) afternoon, 
at 3 o’clock, without further notice.
