The Frederick Post, Monday, January 31, 1927

The funeral of William Staup, formerly of Frederick, who died in Philadelphia, took
place Saturday afternoon upon the arrival of the 4:05 Baltimore and Ohio Railroad 
train with services conducted by Rev. Dr. U.S.G. Rupp.  Services at the grave were 
conducted by Lynch Lodge, No 163, A.F. and A. Masons, with an escort from Jacques 
de Molay Commandery, No. 4. Knights Templar.  Pallbearers: H.C. Zacharias, Byron 
A. Winebrenner, Guy Roser, William O. Kolb, A.W. Condon, Warren Tayler, members of
the commandery.  Burial Mt. Olivet cemetery.  C.C. Carty funeral director.
