  A marriage unique in the annals of Philadelphia was solemnized last evening 
in Grace Baptist temple, Broad and Berks streets, when Miss Karlene Theresa 
Ashbridge, daughter of Mayor Ashbridge and the first daughter of a 
Philadelphia mayor to be married during her father's official term of office, 
was wedded to Schuyler Armstrong, a prominent business man.  About 3000 guests 
were present.  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. John R. Davies, 
pastor of Bethlehem Presbyterian church, where the bride is a communicant, 
assisted by the Rev. Geo. A. Peltz, assistant to Rev. Dr. R. H. Conwell, 
pastor of Grace temple.
