The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Radnor Meeting Records Marriage of Henry Bell and Sarah Rumford 10-12-1720 Whereas Henry Bell son of Henry Bell of Monokosy in the County of Philadelphia in the Province of Pennsylvania and Sarah Rumford daughter of Jno Rumsford of Maloran in the aforesaid County of Philadelphia in ye aforesaid Province having declared their Intentions of Marriage with each other before severall Monthly Meetings of the People of God called Quakers at the Welsh Tract in the Province aforesaid according to the Good Order used amongst them, and having consent of parents concerned their proposall of Marriage was allowed of by ye said Meetings, how these are to certify all whom it may concern that for the full accomplishing of their Intentions this Thirteenth day of ye Tenth Month in ye year of our Lord One Thousand and Twenty, they ye said Henry Bell taking ye said Sarah Rumford by the hand did in solemn manner openly declare that he tooke her ye said Sarah Rumford to be his wife promising to be unto her a loving & faithfull husband till death should separate and their & there in the same Assembly the said Sarah Rumford did in like manner declare that she tooke ye said Henry Bell to be her husband promising to be unto him a faithfull & loving wife untill death should separate them and moreover ye said Henry Bell and Sarah Rumford )she according to ye custom of marriage assuming ye name of her husband,) as further confirmation thereof did their and there to these presents sett their hands and we whose names are hereunder also subscribed being present at the solemnization of ye said marriage & subscriptions have as wittnesses, thereunto set our hands the day and year above written.
