That is to say, First, I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied. Item: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Schreiner, all my plate and household and kitchen of every description, all the provisions I had laid in for family use and also all my wearing apparel without any inventory or appraisal taken thereof. Item: I give to my niece Catherine Schreiner daughter of my late brother Christopher the sum of five hundred dollars. Item: I give to my said beloved wife, one third part of the rest and remainder of my personal estate to be left to her disposal of as she may think proper and I also give to my said wife one third part of the net income of my real estate for and during all the tenure of her natural life. Item: All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever I give devise and bequeath to my beloved children, Joseph H., Maria, Jacob, Elizabeth, Harriet, William and Amelia Schreiner their respective heirs and executors and administrators for ever to be equally divided among them, share and share alike as they severally did individually arrive to the age of twenty one years and in the meantime the income of their respective shares to be paid to or received by my said wife for their support maintenance and education respectively of my said wife shall so long remain single and unmarried and in case any of my said children shall happen to die under age without bearing issue the part and share intended for said deceased child’s share shall go to and I do give devise and bequeath the share to the survivors or survivor of my said children in full equal shares if more than one and to the lawful issue of such of them as shall be then deceased so nevertheless that such lawful issue take and receive in such part and share only as his her or their deceased parent would have had and have taken if living. Item: I nominate and appoint my said beloved wife, my son Joseph H. Schreiner and my esteemed friend Phillip Peltz of the county of Philadelphia executors of this my last will and testament and the letter to enable them to make partition and division of my estate among my devisees. I do hereby authorize, them and the survivor of them whenever they or the survivors or survivor shall then be proper to sell and dispose of all my real estate or any part thereof either at public or private sale and convey the same or any part thereof to the purchaser or purchasers in fee and the monies arising from said sale to pay and appropriate as herein before devised. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eleven. My gold watch and gold sleeve buttons I give to my son Jacob when he arrives to the age of eighteen years if my executors shall deem it proper to be then delivered to him or sell the watch entirely if they it will elect to sell or dispose of it for the worth it will fetch William Spohn Christian Poolley Philadelphia December 30, 1811, Then personally appeared William Spohn and Christian Poolley witnesses to the aforegoing will and testament did on their solemn oaths according to Law did depose and did say that they did see and hear Jacob Schreiner the testator in the said will named sign, seal, publish and declare said will for and as his last will and testament and that at the doing thereof he was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.
