I Valentine Stillwagon of the City of Philadelphia Hatter being sick in body but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding praised be the Lord for the same. Do hereby make my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say First I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be duly paid and satisfied. Item I give and devise unto my beloved Wife Elizabeth one third part of my Real Estate to hold to her Assigns during all the term of her natural life in lieu of her dower and the remainder and residue of my said Real Estate unto my four children John, Elizabeth, Daniel & Anne their several and respective heirs and assigns forever as Tenants in Common to be equally divided between them. I give unto her my said wife all the income of the said Real Estate during the minority of the said children so that neither of them shall have and take in severalty his fourth part of the said Estate or of the income thereof until he or she arrive at full age. And I give and bequeath all the residue of my personal estate to her my said Wife her Executors & Administrators. The said Income of two third parts of my Real Estate and the said whole residue of my personal estate charged and chargeable with the maintenance and education of my said four children until they shall successively at the age of aforesaid. And I do hereby nominate and appoint her my said Wife and my Brother in Law John Steinmetz Executors of this my last will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the Sixteenth day of March, Seventeen hundred and Eighty one. Valentine Stillwagon -Seal- Signed, Sealed, published and declared by the testator Valentine Stillwagon for and his last will and testament in the presence of Daniel Sutter, Lewis Weiss. Philadelphia, April 25, 1781. Personally appeared Daniel Sutter and Lewis Weiss the witnesses to the foregoing Will and in oath did declare that they saw and heard Valentine Stillwagon the testator therein named Sign, Seal publish and declare the same as and for his last Will and Testament. And that at the doing thereof he was of sound disposing Mind, Memory and Understanding to the best of their knowledge & belief. Sam Morris, Register Be it remembered that on the 25th day of April 1781 the last Will and Testament of Valentine Stillwagon deceased in due form of Law was proved and probate and Letters Testamentary thereof granted to Elizabeth Stillwagon Executrix and John Steinmetz Executor therein named being first duly sworn well and truly to administer the said Deceased Estate and to bring an Inventory thereof into the Registers Office at Philadelphia on or before the 25th day of May next and to render a true and just Account of the said Administration on or before the 25th day of April 1782 or when thereunto legally required.
