Upon his death, (1) leaves to his wife, Anna Maria, all real estate to hold for the rest of her life, (2) orders the sale of his personal estate, which money from such sale is to be set aside and interest thereon paid to her for the remainder of her life, (3) leaves his colt that was in keeping with Leonard Schwartz, to George Zeller, his brother, and (4) leaves the children of Peter Rasper (sp?), deceased, 50 pounds, to be divided equally and paid when each reach 21. After his wife, Anna Maria dies, orders the sale of the land in the Northern Liberties section of the City of Philadelphia containing 5 acres and 15 perches and the sale proceeds to be divided as follows (1) Hartman Zeller, father, to receive 250 pounds, if he no longer survives, to be divided between his children by his 2nd wife or present wife and (2) any remainder divided between John Zeller’s sisters – Barbara (no husband listed), Elizabeth wife of Herman Bush, Anna wife of Christian Favour (sp?), Elizabeth wife of George Strein and Catharine wife of Jos. Stahring. Immediately upon the death of his wife, Anna Maria, orders the following - Nephew, John Zeller, son of brother George Zeller, to receive two lots of ground in the City of Philadelphia – one lot on the north side of Sassafras Street measuring 21 feet ¾ inches by 109 feet ½ inch along with the use of a private alley and the other lot across the alley on 3rd Street measuring 29 feet 6 inches by 21 feet 2 ¼ inches. Nephew, Jacob Zeller, son of brother George Zeller, to receive one lot of ground in the City of Philadelphia on the east side of 3rd Street measuring 29 feet 6 inches by 42 feet 8 ¼ inches. Brother, Peter Zeller and John Givit (sp?), son of Peter Givit (sp?), who is the brother of wife Anna Maria, to receive the lot in Germantown, Philadelphia County, originally purchased from Paul Engel. German Reformed Calvinist Congregation of Philadelphia, to receive 50 pounds, which is to use 3 pounds every year to educate 3 poor children of the church. Any remainder to be divided equally between his two brothers George and Peter and to his five sisters, Cathrine, Barbara, Elizabeth, Ann and Elizabeth. Brother George Zeller and friend Peter Miller were named executors. Will signed November 2, 1774. Witnesses were Benjamin Miller, Abraham Shoemaker and John Muratroyd (sp?). Court approved last will and testament and grants probate on August 12, 1778. Court orders executors George Zeller and Benjamin Miller to submit account by August 12, 1779.
