Jeffersonian Republican. (Stroudsburg, Pa.) 1840-1853: September 30, 1847 September 30, 1847
The wife of Mr. Rudolphus Bingham, of Palmyra township, in Pike county, was burned,
to death on Saturday evening 18th, about 8 o'clock. She was alone in the house, when
her garments took fire, and when the members of the family returned, she was dead.
Mrs. B. was about 55 years old, and was highly esteemed by the community in which
she lived.
