The Potter Journal. (Coudersport, Pa.) April 18, 1867
The Senate confirmed the Russo-American Treaty, 1867, (which declared the transfer
of Alaska from Russia to the United States), by which the United States acquires
possession of Rusian-American, an ice house inhabited by Indians, Esquimaux, and
fisherman.
