He died about Apr 1777 in Brunswick Township. His will made 15Apr1777 and probated at Berks County 02May1777 was witnessed by Michael DEIBERT and George HUNTZINGER, and names his son Peter and son-in-law, Michael MOSSER as executors. The will names eldest son Frederick, Peter, Barbara, Margaretha, and Catherine wife of Michael MOSSER. The name has many variants - Weimann, Wehman, Weymann, etc. A George WEIMAN and wife Anna Maria had children Christened at Oley and Zion Moselem Church; the families are often confused. He married Anna Maria FAEUBER. Her maiden name was given in Zion Moselem Church Records {Richmond Twp., Berks County]. They had the following known children: Frederich; Peter; Maria Barbara; Catherine Magdalena; and Maria Margaretha. Frederick WEINMAN, the eldest son, married Maria Eva Catherine SCHAEFFER on 23 May 1776 in St Gabriel Church, Douglasville, PA. She was a daughter of Jacob and Maria Barbara [KOBEL] SCHAEFFER. They had two sons baptised at Zion Church: Absalom WEINMAN, Christened on 20 Oct 1776, Jurg and Margaretha RAUCH were sponsors; Johannes WEYMAN, 2 months 2 days old when Christened on 27 Sep 1778. John and Margaretha [SCHAEFFER] DORNBACH were sponsors. Catherine Magdalena WEIHMAN was born on 20 Nov 1751. Christened on 26 Jan 1752 in Zion Moselem Church Sponsors were Magdalena BENTZINGER & Catherine Magdalena STEINBRENNER. She died on 20 Jul 1827 in Brunswick. Buried in Zion Cemetery "nee WEIHMAN" is on her tombstone. She married Michael MOSSER. Michael MOSSER was born on 13 Mar 1752 in Lynn Twp., now Lehigh County PA. He died on 1 Jun 1818, buried at Zion Church, 66 years, 2 months, 19 days. A death notice in the Reading Adler states 67 years. Fractur for sons Daniel and Michael are in the UNGER/BASSLER Collection at Franklin and Marshall College at Lancaster PA. Michael MOSSER was an officer in Brunswick Companies during the Revolution. They had the following known children: Margaret Magdalena MOSSER was born on 21 Jul 1779 in Brunswick Twp., Christened on 29 Aug 1779 in Zion Church, Christian HERRING and Miss Maria Magdalena WEINMANN were sponsors. Michael MOSSER was born on 13 Feb 1782, Christened on 24 Mar 1782 in Zion Church. Daniel BENSINGER and Barbara were sponsors. Daniel MOSSER was born on 16 Sep 1796, Christened in Zion Church. George HUNTZINGER and Anna Maria were sponsors. Mother's maiden name was given as WEYMAN on Fractur prepared for this child. Maria Margaretha WEIMAN was born on 24 Sep 1754, Christened on 8 Oct 1754 in Zion Moselem Church. Casper KILIAN? and wife, Catherine Margaretha were sponsors. She is likely buried in Friedens Little Schuyklill Cemetery. She married Frederick BENSINGER. Frederick BENSINGER was 80Age1840 Census. He was Confirmed 1774 at Zion Church, died on 25 Aug 1847. Die Stimme.. gave his age as 88. He is buried at Friedens Little Schuylkill Cemetery, East Brunswick Twp. Stone inscription: "Berks County Militia, Rev War" He was in Captain Jacob Whetstone's 1780 Co., Brunswick Militia, and received a Federal Pension for Revolutionary service. They had the following children: Franklin BENSINGER, died in Ohio?; Barbara BENSINGER; Frederick BENSINGER, Jr.; Hanna BENSINGER; Michael BENSINGER; Isaac BENSINGER; Benjamin BENSINGER; and Jacob BENSINGER. Christened on 4 Jun 1757 in Zion Moselem Church, sponsors were Caspar KILLIAN and his wife Catherine Margaretha. Peter served in Brunswick Units in the Revolutionary War. He died about Apr 1790 in Brunswick Township. His will made 4 Apr 1790; Granted 11 May 1790 at Berks County, was witnessed by William KOCH and John SCHNEIDER. Executors were friends, Michael MOSSER and Leonard WERNER. The will mentions spouse Eva Barbara and children: Peter; Rosina; Magdalena; Mary Catherine; Mary Barbara; and Anna Mary. He married Eva Barbara UNANGST. Eva Barbara was born in Greenwich Township, Berks according to the Zion Church Book entry for Peter SCHMIDT's baptism. Among their children: Rosina Magdalena WEINMAN was born on 13 Dec 1780, Christened on 12 Apr 1781 in Zion Church; Michael UNANGST and Magdalena LINDENMUTH, daughter of Colonel Michael LINDENMUTH were sponsors. John Peter WEINMAN was born on 14 Feb 1782, Christened on 20 May 1782 in Zion Church. J. Peter SCHMELGER and Anna Magdalena, his wife were sponsors. Maria Barbara WEINMAN was born on 18 Nov 1759. She was confirmed at Zion Church in 1774. She died on 19 Mar 1840. She is buried at Zion Cemetery Maria Barbara married Daniel BENSINGER on 7 Dec 1779 in Zion Red Church [Schumacher Certificate, in private collection]. Daniel BENSINGER was born on 3 Jul 1757 in Maxatawny Twp., Berks. Christened on 30 Jul 1757 in Zion Moselem Church, Daniel ORTH and his wife, Sophia were sponsors. He died on 27 Jan 1834, and is buried at Zion Cemetery. His will mentions wife [ Barbara in codicil] grandson Daniel [KERSHNER], Grandchildren Conrad and William, and Catherina wife of William MATZ - bk 1 p171. Daniel served with Brunswick Companies during the Revolution. They had a daughter, Maria Magdalena BENSINGER born on 24 Sep 1781; died on 15 Mar 1812. Her tombstone at Zion Cemetery reads: " wife of George KERSCHNER and only daughter of Daniel and Barbara BENSINGER- survived by four children." She married George KERSCHNER, a miller. George KERSCHNER was born on 10 Jul 1782. Died on 10 Aug 1846. Buried at Zion Church. His tombstone: "married 11yrs to Maria M BENSINGER; 4 Children; married to Hannah DREHER 27Yrs - 11 children. He was survived by 36 grandchildren and one great grandchild." Maria and George had the following children: Daniel KERSCHNER was born in 1802 [Birth Certificate- see Historical Review of Berks County Summer 1973, published by the Historical Society]; William KERSCHNER; Conrad KERSCHNER; and Catherina KERSCHNER.
