This Indenture made the twenty sixth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand one hundred and seventy. Between Jacob Hinkle of Barry Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania and Susannah his wife of the first part and Lawrence Shelly of the Borough of Minersville County and State aforementioned of the second part. Witnesseth That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of ........Thousand Dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them will and surely paid by .....the party of the second part, as and before the seal of delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained sold, alienes, enfeoff, released and confirmed and by these presents grant bargain sell alien, enfeoff release and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs assigns All that certain lot or piece of ground....be in the Borough of Minersville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Beginning at a stake on the ............wardly side of Second Street at the distance of two hundred and ten feet, Northwardly to the northern line of Twin Street, thence westwardly and parallel with Twin Street one hundred ninety feet, thence northwardly and parallel to Second Street thirty feet, thence eastwardly and ......with Twin Street one hundred and ninety feet...Street thence southwardly along Second Street, thence thirty feet to the place of beginning with the appurtenances consisting of a two story frame dwelling house, with a one and a half story frame backbuilding attached and frame carpenter shop. Being the same premises which Michael Floran. High Sheriff by deed ordered the eighteenth day of March AD 1865 for the consideration therein mentioned, granted and conveyed unto John Dunkleberger and which John Dunkleberger and Lydia his wife by their deed of assignment, dated the first day of August AD 1867 granted and conveyed unto Jacob Hinkle (partly hereto) in fee as by reference unto said instruments had, will morefully and at large appear. Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements, ways, waters, water courses, rights liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances, whatsoever thereinso belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profiles thereof, and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of their the said party of the first part, in law equitity or otherwise howsoever of, in and to the same and every part thereof. To have and to hold the said certain lot or piece of ground, hereditaments and premises hereby granted, or mentioned and indented so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigned to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Jacob Hinkle for himself his heirs executors and administrators, does by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said the party of the second part his heirs and assigns, that he the said Jacob Hinkle his heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said the party of the second part his heirs and assigns, against him the said Jacob Hinkle his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof by from or under him, them or any of them, shall and will warrant and forever defend. Jacob Hinkel On the twenty sixth day of February Anno Domino 1870 before me one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County personally appeared the above named Jacob Hinkle and Susannah his wife and in due form acknowledged the above Indenture their act and deed, and desired the same might be recorded as such, and the said Susannah her full age, and separate and apart from her said hand by me thereon privately examined and she consents of the above Deed being by me first made unto her, did thereupon declare and say that she voluntarily and of her own free will and according seal and as her act and deed deliver the above Indenture Deed or Conveyance, without any coercion compulsion of her said husband.
