Bunsa, 310 S. Kennedy Drive, McAdoo, a prominent McAdoo resident, died Friday at the Hazleton General Hospital. Born in McAdoo, he was a son of the late August and Elizabeth (Rahl) Bunsa. He was a graduate of St. Gabriel's High School. He graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor of arts degree in education and did post graduate work at the University of Scranton. Bunsa taught Latin and Spanish for the McAdoo Borough School District for seven years. He was then employed at the First National Bank, McAdoo, until 1960. He also taught commercial law night classes for the Labor College which was sponsored by the University of Scranton, and commercial law and the Dynamics of Money and Negotiable Instruments for the Institute of Industrial Relations of the University of Scranton nightly courses in Hazleton, Lansford and Shenandoah during the years 1953 and 1954. He entered the general insurance business in 1958 and continued in that business until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, McAdoo, and taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine classes for the parish. He also served as a lector. He was past president of the Hazleton Chapter of the American Institute of Banking, past president of the Crippled Children's Association of Hazleton and past president of the McAdoo Lions Club where he also served as a past zone chairman with a 14-year perfect attendance record. He was also past chairman of the United Fund Drive, past chairman of the McAdoo Planning Commission and past chairman of Zoning Board of Planners. He was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Bernard, Joseph, Marcella and Claire. Surviving are his wife, the former Veronica Maylath; sisters, Elizabeth Seibert, Mc-Adoo; Mrs. John (Anna) Butler, Harrisburg; Mrs. Stephen (Agnes) Yanoshik, Hometown; Mrs. Paul (Rosemary) Stempko, Cambridge, Ohio; brothers, Robert J., Basking Ridge, N.J.; August J., McAdoo, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from the Damiano Funeral Home, Blaine and Cleveland streets, McAdoo, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church of the Assumption. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
