Joseph J. Bunsa, Washington, D.C, formerly of McAdoo, died Saturday in
Montgomery General Hospital, Olney, Md. He was born in McAdoo, a son of the late
August and Elizabeth Rahl Bunsa. He was the retired director of the National
Training School for Boys in Washington, D.C. He also taught and officiated
boxing for the United States Armed Forces, traveling to Japan, Korea and
Vietnam. Surviving are five sisters, Claire Bunsa and Elizabeth Seibert, both of
McAdoo, Agnes Yanoshik, Hometown, Anna Butler, Harrisburg, and Rosemary Stempko,
Cambridge, Ohio; three brothers, Edward and August, both of McAdoo, and Robert,
Basking Ridge, N.J. A memorial Mass was celebrated this morning in St. Mary's
Church of the Assumption, McAdoo. There will also be a Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday
in Washington, D.C. at St. John Baptist de LaSalle Church. Nally Funeral Home,
Washington D.C. is in charge of arrangements.
