Pottsville Republican, Tuesday, January 03, 1984
Richard W. (Bud) Fisher, 58, of Railroad St., Landingville, died Monday in
Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was born in Orwigsburg, a son of the
late Clarence A. and Annie L. Moore Fisher. He had been employed by the former
Merryfield-Smith Detective Agency, Pottsville. Mr. Fisher was a member of
Landingville Fire Company and Salem United Methodist Church, Orwigsburg. He was
an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy P.; two sons,
Dale R., at home, and Richard W., Dayton, Ohio; six grandchildren; a sister,
June, wife of Clarence Sassaman, Tamaqua. Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Friday at John H. Lundbye Funeral Home Inc. Orwigsburg. The Rev. Joseph Galko,
Schuylkill Haven, will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
