Catherine E. Lucas, 65, of 303 rear Main St., Joliett, was fatally injured in an
auto accident on Route 209 about a mile from Tremont Saturday afternoon. She was
born in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Alexinas. She was a
member of Tremont Senior Citizens and was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Lucas was
employed as a seamstress at Morris Manufacturing Co., Tremont, and also at Canoe
Manufacturing Co., Pine Grove, for more than 23 years. Her husband, Fred E.,
died in 1981. Surviving are a son, Frederick J., Tower City; a stepdaughter,
Barbara Davis, Pine Grove area; a granddaughter, Lisa Marie, Tower City.
Cremation took place Monday at Reading. W.E. Minnig Funeral Home, Tremont, was
in charge of arrangements.
