Maylath, 91, of 301 Ridge  Ave., West Hazleton, died Wednesday morning at St. Luke Manor, Hazleton. Born in Tomhicken, she was the daughter of the late Gregory and Barbara (Marcinko) Maylath, and a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic (Slovak) Church, Hazleton, and the Third Order of St. Francis of the parish. She lived in the West Hazleton area most of her life. Prior to retiring, she had been employed in the area garment industry. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were brothers, Stephen and Gregory Maylath; and sisters, Susan Yenchick, Barbara Maylath, Anna Mylet, Mary Maylath, Elizabeth Sundra, Catherine Takach, and Johanna Matsko. Surviving are sisters, Eleanor Paytas, Lancaster; and Sister Helen Romana, Sisters of the Order of St. Cyril and Methodius, Danville; and Sophia Koskulitz, West Hazleton. Nieces and nephews also survive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity R.C. (Slovak) Church, where friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Pusti Funeral Home, 480 W.
