Purnell, 43, Hosensock, Dies Marvin J. Purnell, 43, of Hosensock, Barnesville R.D., died at his home at 4 a.m. today after having been ill for several years. A native and lifelong resident of the area, he was a son of Mrs. Catherine Wentz Purnell and the late John Purnell, who died in 1947. He was veteran of World War II and formerly had worked for the State Department of Highways for eight years. Mr. Purnell was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Rush Township; the Lakewood American Legion Post, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mahanoy City. Surviving are his wife, the former Lillian Kehler of Frackville; three children, Mrs. Andrew Zakrewsky, Sarasota, Fla.; Robert and Joyce Ann, both at home; his mother; a sister, Mildred, and a brother, Lynwood, all of Hosensock. Fred H. Flexer, Still Creek, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
