Mill Street, St. Clair, on Wednesday morning (March 14, 1923) from the infirmaries of advanced age. He was a man of remarkable vitality during his entire life time, being able to follow his occupation of miner until last year. He was born near Orwigsburg and his trade as powder maker for a while, after which he became a miner and followed this occupation about 60 years. He was a resident of St. Clair for the past 40 years. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Wm. and Irvin of St. Clair, Thomas R. of Schuylkill Township, Mrs. Charles Stevenson, Mrs. William Wasley, Mrs. John Blum, Mrs. Robert Thomas, and Mrs. William Pierce of St. Clair. * Says E. Reed, in his 88th year. Funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon from his late home on North Mill Street. Services at the home at two o'clock. Interment in Odd Fellows cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend.
