Shupe, 62, 906 Thornton Drive, Mechanicsburg, died Saturday at the home of his sister, Dee Reed, Lykens. He was born in Lykens, July 31, 1927, a son of the late Herbert and Mary Messner Shupe. He was a Navy veteran. He was employed as a supervisor by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation until his retirement. Mr Shupe was a member of American Legion Post 124 and Liberty Hose Company No. 2, both of Lykens; Dauphin County Volunteer Firemen's Association; West Shore Lodge 681, F & AM; National Rifle Association; Hershey Italian Lodge; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5640, Middleburg; Marysville Moose Lodge; and Thirtieth of May Gang. Surviving, in addition to his sister, are a niece and nephew. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from John M Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, The Rev. Daniel M Shutters will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco.
