Born in Lofty, May 1, 1918, he was the son of the late Stephen F. and Mary (Urinchak) Yanoshik Sr. Mr. Yanoshik's career encompassed 43 years as an engineer for Reading Railroad Co. and Conrail, running both steam and diesel locomotives. He was a long-term member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Surviving are his wife, of 56 years, the former Agnes Bunsa; children, Stephen F. Yanoshik III, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Rock, Sugarloaf; two grandchildren; brothers, Comdr. Francis "Shan" Yanoshik, retired, Anandale, Va.; Carl, Hometown; Joseph, McAdoo, and twins, George and Jack; both of Lofty; a sister, Mary, Allentown and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, East Grant Street, McAdoo. Interment will take place in Sky View Memorial Park, Route 54, Hometown. The Lamar Christ Funeral Home, 31 Mahanoy Ave., Hometown, is in charge of the arrangements.
