Pottsville Republican, Apr 1973 obituary: 

John Zimmerman, Jr., of RD1 Pine Grove, died early Wednesday morning in 
Pottsville Hospital. He was admitted April 19. 

Mr Zimmerman, 73, was a son of the late John and Minnie Haas Zimmerman. His wife, the 
former Elva Clements, preceded him in death. 

Surviving are these sons and daughters: Paul, of Schuylkill Haven; Mary, wife of Earl Steffy 
of Manheim; Lula, wife of Charles Reed, RD 2 Schuylkill Haven; Lynn of Panama City, Fla.; 
June, wife of Elmer Knarr of RD Pottsville; John of RD Pine Grove; brothers and a sister, 
Thomas, RD Pine Grove; Lynn, RD Schuylkill Haven; Monroe, RD Pine Grove; Beulah, 
wife of Frank Boughter of RD Pine Grove; 19 grandchildren, one great grandchild. 

Services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Snyder Funeral Home, Pine Grove. Interment will 
be in St John's Lutheran Cemetery, Rev. Frederick I. Fisher will officiate.
