Sir, In obedience to your request of the 12th of October last, I make the the following report. There has been no vacancy happened in the office of Justice of the Peace in this County from any cause since he 14th of March 1814, but one by the death of John Shrope who was a Justice of the Peace for the district number 4 composed of the Township of Pinegrove, and died in April 1815, and there has been no new township created since the said 15 March 1814 except the Township of Union annexed to this County by the act of the 3 March 1818. There are no commissions remaining in my office.
