Witness: Harry Savulak, May 7, 1904, granted by the court.  Filed April 20,
1904.  I hereby  certify that I am the bona fide Attorney for the within

To the Honorable the Judges of the Court of common Pleas of Schuylkill County.
The Petition of HARRY BALJAH, a native of Austria, Respectfully sheweth: That
he declared on oath before the Common Pleas Court of Schuylkill County,
Pennsylvania on  the 28th day of June 1897, that it was bona fide his intention
to become a citizen of the United  States, and to renounce forever all
allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state  or
sovereignty, and particularly to the EMPEROR OF AUSTRIA of whom he was at that
time a  subject;  That your petitioner has resided one year and upwards within
the State of Pennsylvania,  and within the United States of America five years
and upwards immediately preceding this his  application to become a citizen of
the United States.  That he has never borne any hereditary title, or been of an
orders of nobility in his own, or any  other country; that he does not
disbelieve in, nor is he opposed to all organized government; that  he is not a
member of, or affiliated with any organization entertaining and teaching such 
disbelief or opposition; that he does not advocate, nor teach, the duty,
necessity, or propriety of  unlawfully assaulting or killing any specific
individual or officers generally of the government of  the United States, or of
any other organized government, because of his or their official character  nor
has he violated any of the provisions of an Act to regulate the immigration of
aliens into the  United States, approved March 3, 1903.
     He therefore prays, that on making the proof, and taking the oath
prescribed by law, he may  be admitted to become a citizen of the United States
of America.
                                        And he will every pray, &c.

Harry Savulak, a citizen of the United States of America, being duly sworn
according to law,  saith, that he knows, and is well  acquainted with Harry
Baljah, the petitioner; that to his  knowledge he has resided one year and
upwards within the State of Pennsylvania, and within the  United States of
America five years and upwards immediately preceding his application t be a 
citizen; that during that time he has behaved as a man of good moral character,
attached to the  principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well
disposed to the good order and  happiness of the same; that, in so far as he
knows, is informed, or believes, the applicant does  not disbelieve in, nor is
he opposed to all organized government; nor is he a member of, or  affiliated
with any organization entertaining and teaching such disbelief or opposition:
nor does  he advocate or teach the duty, necessity, or propriety of unlawfully
assaulting or killing any  specific individual or officers generally of the
Government of the United States, or of any other  organized government, because
of his or their official character; nor has he violated any of the  provisions
of any Act to regulate the immigration of aliens into the United States,
approved  March 3, 1903.

I, Harry Baljah do swear that the contents of my Petition are true, that I will
support the  constitution of the United States, and I now renounce and
relinquish any title or order of nobility  to which I am now, or hereafter
maybe entitled, and I do absolutely and entirely renounce and  abjure all
allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty,
and  particularly to the Emperor of Austria of whom I was before a subject.

State of Pennsylvania, Schuylkill County, SS: Be it remembered that at a Court
of Common Pleas held at Pottsvlle, In and for the County of Schuylkill, the
28th day of June in the year of our Lord 1897 personally appeared Harry Baljah
#2  before the said Court, who, upon his solemn oath did depose and say, that
he is a native of Austria (G) now residing in the county of Schuylkill, aged
twenty four years, or thereabouts, and that it is BONA FIDE his intention to
become a CITIZEN of the UNITED STAES, and to renounce forever all allegiance
and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty
whatsoever, and particularly to Francis Joseph, Emperor of Austria of whom he
was  a subject. 
               In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and
               affixed the seal of said, Court, at Pottsville, the 28th day 
               of June in the year of our Lord 1897
