I was born in Hoezew, Austria on the 20th day of December 1877; I now reside at McAdoo, Pennsylvania. I emigrated to the United States from Bremen, Germany on the vessel Grosser Kurfurst; my last foreign residence was Hoezew, Austria. It is my bona fide intention to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, Potentate, state or sovereignty and particularly to Francis Joseph Emperor of Austria & Apostolio King of Hungry, of whom at this time I am a subject, I arrived in the port of New York in the state of New York on or about the 18th day of June 1900; I am not an anarchist; I am not a polygamist nor in the practice of polygamy; and it is my intention in good faith to become a citizen of the U.S. and to permanently reside therein, SO HELP ME GOD. My wifeÕs name is Mary Geffert. She was born in Kupno, Austria and now resides at McAdoo, PA I have five children and the name date and place of birth, and place of residence of each of said children is as follows Paul born 4/17/1906, Michael born 8/25/1907; John born 6/29/1909; Anna born 7/20/1911; and Frank born 11/1/1914.
