Samuel Stotler resided at the old homestead, "The Fields,"
and operated a sawmill located near the head of Little Shade Creek.

Emanuel Stotler built and operated a tavern along the Pennsylvania Road, 
called the "Black Horse Inn," located at what is now known as Reel's Corners.
