Infantry * Not on muster out roll * Age at enrollment 32 * Height 5' 9; Hair - Dark; Complexion- Fair; Eyes - Gray * Occupation - Laborer * Widow Pension: Applied July 10, 1865, Application #101334, Certificate #115030 * Widow Pension lists the following: Widow - Elizabeth; Maiden name of Elizabeth is Keefer; John and Elizabeth were married Mar. 1, 1845; Minor children are: Elizabeth born Sept. 24, 1850, Emanuel born Oct. 16, 1852, William born Dec. 12, 1853 and Catherine born Dec. 27, 1856; On Sept. 17, 1876 Elizabeth was dropped from the pension roll due to being remarried; Declaration for Restoration to Pension Roll dated Apr. 9, 1878 lists the following: Elizabeth lost her pension on Mar. 4, 1876 by reason of testimony of a daughter who is of unsound mind.
