Ankeny, Alexander Thompson

* Born Dec. 27, 1837 in Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Died Oct. 12, 1917 in Hennepin Co. Minnesota 
* Lawyer in Somerset, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Edward M. Stanton, Secretary of War, invited him to a position in the War 
Department. He served until the end of the war.
