Infantry * Enlisted Sept. 12, 1861 as Private * Discharged as Private at New Creek, W. Va. on Dec. 31, 1863 by reason of re- enlistment as Veteran Volunteer * Re-enlisted Jan. 1, 1864 in Co. K 2nd Maryland Infantry Potomac Home Brigade * Discharged as Private at Baltimore, Md. on May 29, 1865 by reason of telegram from Dept. May 29, 1865 * Disability - Fracture of lower left leg * When on the morning of Oct. 19, 1864 while on duty in the Iron Clad Cars, in a collision between the stations of Paw Paw and Little Cacapon on the Baltimore & Ohio R. R. Was Taken to Clarysville Hospital and treated there about six weeks, during which time a number of parts of bone were taken from my leg. K * Detachment muster out Roll lists the following: age 19, Muster out date Feb. 23, 1864, last paid to Dec. 31, 1863, amount for clothing in kind or money advanced #33.61 and reason of muster out for re-enlistment * Bounty due $400.00 * Muster out Roll dated May 29, 1865 lists: last paid to Feb. 28, 1865, due U.S. $11.49, bounty paid $210.00 and bounty due $190.00 * All charges of desertion against this man in 1862 are removed and he is discharged under the Act of Congress approved Mar. 2, 1889, also see C.
