Pa. * Re-enlisted Feb. 23, 1864 in Cumberland, Md. * Carried the regimental colors * Wounded May 15, 1864 at New Market, Virginia and died the following night * He was the flag bearer and a shell struck under him and he fell, breaking his leg so that the bone protruded through the flesh. While a Rebel doctor was amputating the leg, Baker died, and a woman buried him and Lt.
