* Born Aug. 10, 1835 in Somerset, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Died June 9, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant, Pa. 
* Private Co. A 39th Regiment 10th Pa. Reserves Corps 
* Drafted 
* Mustered in Oct. 31, 1863 
* Transferred to Co. I 191st Regiment Pa. Infantry June 1, 1864 
* Discharged on July 21, 1864 by reason of expiration of term of service 
*He fought in the following battles: Second Bull Run; South Mountain; Antietam; 
Fredericksburg and Gettysburg.
