* Died Mar. 2, 1922 in Jennings, Maryland 
* When he was 4 years old his father died. He was sent to work for a family near 
Somerset, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Co. I 2nd Regiment Maryland Potomac Home Brigade 
* Enlisted Sept. 4, 1861 in Grantsville, Md 
* Muster out Roll dated Oct. 31, 1864 lists: Mustered out Oct. 31, 1864 at age 
20, last paid June 30, 1864, due soldier $16.53 and value of ord. and ord. 
stores lost and destroyed $4.02
* Discharged Oct. 31, 1865 at Cumberland, Md. 
* Re-enlisted in 2nd Regiment Maryland Potomac Home Brigade in March 1865 
* Invalid Pension: Applied Feb. 15, 1889 and cannot read date, Application
