* Born 1844 in Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Died Aug. 18, 1864 in Andersonville Prison, Georgia, of Dysentery 
* Buried at Andersonville Prison, Lot #16074 
* Co. K 103rd Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Drafted Oct. 29, 1863 at about 17 years of age 
* Captured Apr. 20, 1864 at Plymouth, N. C. 
* Survived about 4 months as a P. O. W. at Camp Sumptor
