* Buried in Walker Cemetery, Stonycreek Twp. Somerset Co. Pa. 
* 1st Sergeant Co. D 133rd Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enrolled Aug. 5, 1862 at age 29 in Somerset 
* Mustered in Aug. 14, 1862 as Sergeant in Harrisburg, Pa. 
* Mustered out May 26, 1863 
* Served Aug. 15, 1862 - May 26, 1863 
* Promoted from Sergeant to 1st Sergeant Dec. 5, 1862 
* Disability - Piles, Tumors on left shoulder and Rheumatism 
* Served Aug. 14, 1862 - May 26, 1863 - 9 month 12 days 
* He helped raise a volunteer company of 60 men. They later went to Harrisburg 
with 91 men who were mustered in Co. D 133rd Regiment Pa. Infantry.
