* Private Co. F 142nd Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Deserted Jan. 20, 1863 at Belle Plain 
* Enrolled Aug. 12, 1862 at age 29 in Berlin, Somerset Co. Pa. by F. A. Edmunds 
* Mustered in Aug. 25, 1862 at Harrisburg, Pa. by Lieutenant Brayton, U. S. A. 
* Deserted the U. S. Service at Camp near Bell Plain, Va. Jan. 2, 1863
* Eyes - Blue; Hair - Dark; Complexion - Dark; Height 5' 6 3/4" 
* Occupation at enrollment - Farmer 
* He was in the battle of Fredericksburg. 
* Feb. 20, 1863 learned that the Broucher's have gone west.
