* Drafted June 3, 1864 
* Mustered in June 3, 1864 
* Discharged June 9, 1865 on a Surgeon's Certificate, at Clarysville Hospital, 
Md. 
* Height - 5' 7 1/2"; Hair - Sandy; Complexion - Fair; Eyes - Blue 
* Residence at enrollment - Franklin Co. Pa.  
* Shot in the palm of left hand at 3rd Winchester, leading to amputation of the 
ring finger. 
* Farmer and coal miner from Pocahontas, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Served June 3, 1864 - June 9, 1865 - 12 month 6 days 
* Pension application: At $8 per month for partial inability to earn a support 
by manual labor, Certificate 149,936; Is totally disabled and wants $12 per 
month
