* Private Co. D 3rd Regiment Maryland Potomac Home Brigade Infantry 
* Enlisted Nov. 24, 1861 in Cumberland, Md. for 3 years of service 
* Company D Muster Roll dated Apr. 30 to Aug. 31, 1862 lists him as absent and 
captured and paroled at Moorefield June 29 
* Company D Muster Out Roll dated Annapolis, Md. Sept. 30, and the remarks: 
Mustered out by order of the War Dept. as consequence of having given the 
following parole to the enemy at Moorefield, Va. June 29, 1862, the undersigned 
will not take up arms against the Confederate States of America in any way and 
abet the enemies of the same and if found in army against the Confederate 
States, the punishment will be death.

for ordnance and stores seventy five cents and for Quarter Master stores lost or

will be amended to show this man mustered in Mar. 15, 1864, date of enlistment.
