* Buried - Grave 5417 
* Private Co. I 54th Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enlisted Aug. 2, 1861 in Cambria Co. Pa. at age 20 
* Mustered in Oct. 18, 1861 
* Height - 6' 0" 
* Hair - Light, Eyes - Blue, Complexion - Dark 
* Occupation - Wagoner 
* Residence - Johnstown, Pa. 
* Mother Pension lists the following: Mother - Sarah Ankeny, widow of James 
Craig; James and Sarah were married Jan. 25, 1831; John and Sarah were married 
in May 1859; John died Apr. 5, 1863; Reported killed at New Market, Va. May 15, 
1864 and left on the field; On Aug. 18, 1868 Sarah was admitted to a pension of 
$8 commencing May 15, 1864; Sarah was last paid Sept. 4, 1881 at the rate of $8 
per month and was dropped from the pension roll due to her death;
