* Private Co. D and C 3rd Regiment Maryland Potomac Home Brigade Infantry 
* Enlisted Sept. 26, 1861 in Cumberland, Md. for 3 years service 
* Mustered in Dec. 31, 1861 
* Company D Muster Roll dated June 30, 1862 lists him as absent, sick 
* Company C Muster Roll dated Jan. & Feb. 1863 lists the following: Transferred 
to this company Jan. 15, 1863. Amount of stoppage $5.80 for transportation from 
Cumberland to Annapolis 
* Special Muster Roll dated Apr. 10, 1863 lists him as sick in hospital 
* Hospital Muster Roll for Dec. 31, 1863 to Feb. 24, 1864 lists the following: 
When attached to hospital - Feb. 18, 1864; How employed - sick and listed as 
present 
* Company C Muster Roll dated May & June 1864 lists the following: Discharged by 
reason of disability by order of Major General Wallace June 11, 1864
