* Died July 2, 1924 in Conway Springs, Sumner Co. Kansas 
* Private Co. K 2nd Maryland Potomac Home Brigade Infantry 
* Enlisted or mustered in Oct. 31, 1864 at Cumberland, Md for 3 years 
* Mustered out or discharged Sept. 18, 1862 
* 1st Sergeant Co. K 163rd Regiment 18th Pa. Cavalry 
* Enrolled Sept. 24, 1862 in Somerset Co. Pa. at age 23 
* Mustered in Oct. 29, 1862 as Private in Harrisburg, Pa. 
* Discharged July 1, 1865 at Cumberland, Md by General Orders 
* Promoted to 1st Sergeant date unknown 
* Prisoner in Andersonville Prison from Oct. 11, 1863 until May 30, 1865 
* Invalid Pension: Applied Nov. 14, 1885 and Feb. 8, 1912, Application #554119, 
Certificate #717367; Widow Pension: Application #1222446, Certificate #953948
* Deserted Sept. 18, 1862 at Cumberland, Md. at age 21 
* Jan. 1862 he was absent, sick 
* May 1862 he was listed as Wagoner 
* Adjutant General's Office, dated Feb. 10, 1884: The charge of desertion is 
removed and he is discharged to date Sept. 18, 1862 
* Two months back pay due from Dec. 31, 1861 to Feb. 28, 1862
