* Private Co. D 3rd Regiment Maryland Potomac Home Brigade
* Enlisted Nov. 11, 1861 at Cumberland, Md. for 3 years service 
* Mustered in Dec. 31, 1861 
* Company D Muster Roll dated Apr. 30 - Aug. 31, 1862 lists him as absent, 
captured and paroled at Moorefield June 29. 
* Detachment Muster Out Roll dated Annapolis, Md. Sept. 30, 1862 lists the 
following: Last paid to Aug. 31, 1862 and as absent, supposed to have deserted 
from Camp Parole near Annapolis, Md. 
* War Department Record and Pension Division, Washington dated Aug. 30, 1890 
lists the following: The charge of desertion against this man is removed. He was 
absent without leave from June 29, 1862 to Sept. 30, 1862. He was mustered out 
Sept. 20, 1862 at Annapolis, Md. by order of the War Department Dated Sept. 20, 
1862.
