* Born in Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Died Feb. 20, 1915 in Dunbar, Pa. at age 93 
* Private Co. A and B 161st Regiment 16th Pa. Cavalry 
* Enrolled Oct. 15, 1862 at age 39 in Connellsville 
* Mustered in Nov. 4, 1862 as Private in Harrisburg 
* Transferred from Co. A, date unknown 
* Discharged July 14, 1865 at Gettysburg, Pa. 
* Fought in the following battles: Bull Run, Lookout Mountain, 
Chickamauga and Gettysburg.
