Infantry * Drafted Apr. 16, 1862 * Discharged Aug. 6, 1865 * May have served with two other units * War Department claimed no record of him serving with the 54th, 87th or 133rd * Claimed he served under the name McDormick [Not listed in Bates] * Said his captain was Dorney and his colonel, Eastman. * They did not belong to any unites he named. * His wife, Jane Poorbaugh, continued the pension process into the 1920's but their requests were always denied. * Height - 5' 7"; Hair - Light; Eyes - Blue * Invalid Pension: Applied Feb. 19, 1891 and Mar. 1, 1907, Application #999775, no certificate listed; Widow Pension: Applied Nov. 11, 1920, Application #1165921, no certificate number listed.
