* Enrolled Apr. 18, 1861 at age 20 in Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Mustered in June 20, 1861 SS, July 21, 1861 FS as Private in Camp Wilkins, 
Harrisburg, Pa. 
* Mustered out June 11, 1864 with company 
* Fought in the battle of Gettysburg 
* Height - 5' 7"; Hair - Brown; Complexion - Fair; Eyes - Brown 
* Occupation at enrollment - Blacksmith 
* Residence at enrollment - Summit Mills, Pa. 
* Invalid Pension: Applied July 11, 1890 and Feb. 25, 1907, Application #839145,
