Indiana * Died Mar. 15, 1915 in Somerset Pa. * Buried in Husband Cemetery, Somerset Twp. Somerset Co. Pa. * Private Co. B 46th Regiment Pa. Infantry * Enrolled Sept. 2, 1861 at age 18 in Pittsburgh, Pa. * Mustered in Sept. 17, 1861 as Private in Pittsburgh, Pa. * Discharged Sept. 17, 1864 by reason of expiration of term of service * Severely wounded May 3, 1863 at Chancellorsville, Va. * Served Sept. 12, 1861 - Sept. 22, 1864 * Enlisted Sept. 12, 1864, two weeks before he was 16 years old at Pittsburgh, Pa. * Wounded May 2, 1863 in the 2nd day of fighting at Chancellorsville. * He was left lying on the field of carnage with a wound through both thighs, made by an ounce musket ball.
