* Died Dec. 14, 1862 of wounds received Dec. 13, 1862 in the battle of 
Fredericksburg, Va. at Rappahannock River, Va. 
* Enrolled Aug. 11, 1862 at age 18 in Berlin, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Mustered in Aug. 25, 1862 in Harrisburg, Pa. by Lieutenant Brayton, U. S. A. 
* Eyes - Brown; Hair - Dark; Complexion - Dark; Height 5' 7" 
* Occupation at enrollment - Farmer 
* Served Aug. 25, 1862 - Dec. 13, 1862 - 3 month 18 days 
* Mortally wounded through the body at Fredericksburg Dec. 13, 1862, refused 
assistance and did not want to be helped in any way.
